Nancy L. Klinger, 70, a resident of Creekside Health and Rehab Center, Carbondale, PA, died Monday, December 14, 2015 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Alexander A. Klinger of Carbondale.
Born September 3, 1945 in Port Jervis, NY, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Julia Colicchio McDowell.
Nancy was a former resident of Paterson, New Jersey and worked as a cashier in several retail stores.
She is survived by two daughters: Sherree Zeller of Moscow, PA and Jeanie Artishenko of South River, NJ; two sons: Alexander Klinger, Jr. of Carteret, NJ and Bruce Klinger of Helmetta, NJ; a brother: Emmett McDowell of Prospect Park, NJ; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Lester McDowell; two sisters: Mary and Susan.
As per Nancy's request, she was cremated and no services were held.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
