N. Kent Miller, age 72, of Lenoxville, PA died Wednesday evening, January 14, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. His companion for 30 years is Pat Tyler.
Born July 3,1931 in Pleasant Mount, PA. He was the son of the late Maynard and Beatrice (Sanford) Miller.
He was a 1949 graduate of Forest City High School. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1950 to 1953. He was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life working at Gillen Coal Company in Carbondale, Earthmovers Incorporated and was an instructor at Northeastern Technical Institute in Fleetville, PA. He was a member of the Lenox VFW, National Rifle Association and the Carbondale Masonic Lodge 249.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved his beagle, Buttons. He was very loved and respected and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by one daughter: Tammy Tyler of Sherburne, NY.; one son: Robert Tyler of Syracuse, NY.; one brother: Dick Miller of Royal, PA.; 8 Grandchildren; Nieces Nephews
A memorial service was held Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 12:00 pm from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford with services by the Carbondale Masonic Lodge 249.
Cremation took place in the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
Friends called Saturday from 10am-12pm.
