Mitsu Higo Sterling, 96, of Lenoxville, PA, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 15, 2024. Jesus gently called her to her eternal home in heaven to be with her beloved husband, James H. Sterling. The were married on March 10, 1954.

Born March 10, 1928 in Nigata, Japan, Mitsu will be fondly remembered as the ultimate nurturer and a blessing to all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful people with Traditional Home Health Care for their kind and expert hospice care.

She is survived by four children: Diane Bailey and husband, Don, Jack H. Sterling, Jeanine Decker and husband, Mike and Annette Salsman and husband, Brent; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Services were conducted on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. James P. Madas, pastor of the Kingsley Community Church, officiating.

Friends called Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
