Michael "Doc" Figliomeni, 88, Childs, PA, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at home.

Born October 1, 1935 in Childs, PA, he was the son of the late Domenico Carlo Figliomeni and the late Rose Archina Figliomeni. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Cosmo "Pope" Figliomeni.

Doc was a long-time member of the Meredith Hose Company, Childs, and was a former township supervisor and judge of elections for Carbondale Township. He had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. Doc liked playing cards with friends and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by two brothers: Paul and John Figliomeni both of Childs, PA; one sister: Roseann Jenkins of Jessup, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph and Patrick Figliomeni; and a sister: Mary Shields.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, PA, celebrated by Rev. Joseph Mosley, senior priest. Interment, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Carbondale, PA.

Friends called Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the church.
