Obituary

Michael James Ebersole, 60, of Jermyn, PA., died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at University Hospital, Newark, NJ. He was the husband of Josephine Stubaus. Born November 6, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ., he is the son of Mary McGuinness Ebersole of Bayonne, NJ. and the late Arthur Ebersole. He is survived by two children: Michael Ebersole and wife Christine of Mount Pocont, PA. and Joann Ebersole of Bayonne, NJ.; three stepchildren: Carol Ebersole-Jones and husband Ken of Scranton, PA., Phillip Ebersole and wife Jennifer of Little Falls, NJ. and Vanessa Lee and husband Albert of Scranton, PA.; five brothers and sisters: Phillip, Thomas, William and Margaret Ebersole all of Bayonne, NJ. and Delores Hazel of Jersey City, NJ.; 11 Grandchildren: Gary, Samantha, Taylor, Breona, Brooklyn, Stephanie, Austin, Aaryn, Michael, Alexis and John Michael; Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters: Edward, Donald, Stephen, Vernonica, Robert and Arthur Ebersole. The funeral was held Friday, February 29, 2008 at 12:30 PM from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Farview & 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA. Interment, Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Friday, February 29, 2008 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A Catholic prayer service was held Thursday evening by the Rev. Thomas Shoback, pastor of Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Jermyn, PA. Pallbearers: Albert Lee, Ken Jones, Michael Ebersole, Larry Grosskopf, Billy Ebersole, John Van-Axen, Joseph Marder and Philip Ebersole.
