Michael B. Chippa, Sr., 40, of Taylor, PA, died Monday, February 22, 2021 in Scranton. Born March 6, 1980 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Gerard Chippa and the late Linda Owczarski Stubaus. Mike was self-employed, enjoyed camping and was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He is survived by four children: Sammantha, Alexandra Chippa, Michael Chippa, Jr., and Elena Chippa; a brother: Raymond Chippa and wife, Christine of Scranton, PA; three sisters: Joan Arcaro and husband, Frank of Taylor, PA, Lynda Stubaus of Taylor, PA and Jennifer Bannon and husband, Vito of Scranton, PA; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Robert "Chico" Owczarski. The funeral was held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C.
