Michael J. Bonacci age 70, of 1 Frank Street, Carbondale and Lake Lorrain, died Thursday, February 28, 2002 at Hospice Preferred Care, Mid Valley Hospital in Peckville following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Mary D. Dombrosky.
Born July 5, 1931 in Carbondale, PA. He was the son to the late Joseph and Jennie (Cost) Bonacci.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale class of 1949. He was a member of the Carbondale Housing Corporation where he was chairman of the board. He was a former member of the Carbondale Housing Authority. He was a member of the Moxie Club, Carbondale and the Lake Lorain Cottagers Association. He was a former member of the West Side Bocci League, Carbondale.
Prior to his retiremnt he was employed at the JCPenney Company, Scranton. and later as a van driver for N.E.I.U. 19, Archbald.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved St. Augustine, Florida where he and his wife visited frequently.

He is survived by two brothers: Joseph Bonacci of Carbondale, PA. and Frank Bonacci of Boylston, Mass.; Several Nieces and Nephews
He was preceeded in death by three brothers: Carmine Bonacci, Thomas Bonacci and Leonard Bonacci
The funeral was held Saturday, March 2, 2002 from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc. Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale with mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Falbrook Street, Carbondale celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, Pastor. Interment, Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
