Michael C. Antonacci, 87, of Moosic, PA, died Friday, September 20, 2024 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Shirley Dimelow Antonacci, who died June 7, 2018.

Born March 6, 1937 in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene Antonacci.

Michael proudly served in the Marine Corp and was stationed in Japan during the Vietnam era where he earned numerous medals and awards for his distinguished service to our country. He worked at Bethlehem Steel prior to retiring after 43 years as a manager from the Coca Cola Bottle Company, Pittston, PA,  and was of the Catholic faith.

His hobbies included gardening, line and swing dancing along with polkas. He and his wife enjoyed attending local dancing events in the area together.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Sacred Heart for their kind and compassionate care to Michael.

He is survived by two sons: Michael and Joseph Antonacci; one step daughter: Christine Szymaszek and husband, Joseph; one step son: John Davis and wife, Beverly; one granddaughter: Angelina Antonacci and one sister: Cathy Yurkoski.

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Sonya Morallia.

Private graveside services with full military honors were held at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale.

Donations in Michael's memory were sent to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
