Maude Marie Call, 80, formerly of Hop Bottom, PA and Carbondale, PA, died Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA. Born February 19, 1936 in Scott Township, Wayne County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Devire and Edith Seamons Acker. Maude loved to play bingo, visit her friends at the senior center, going on bus trips, arts and crafts and had a passion for polka music. The family would like to thank the Forest City Nursing Home staff and Dr. Matthew Haley for their loving and compassionate care of Maude. She is survived by three sons: Thomas Call and wife SuAnn of Carbondale, PA, Daniel Call and wife Barbara of Canton, PA and Raymond Call and wife Amy of Dunmore, PA; one daughter: Rose Marie Call of Scranton, PA; five grandchildren: Jacob, Kristen, Thomas, Elizabeth and Pvt. Raymond Call; one great grandson: Kyler Call; one brother: Gene Acker and wife Bertha; one half brother: Hank and wife Cathy; a sister-in-law: Marie Acker; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: Sonny Acker; one sister: Charity Acker: a brother-in-law: Howard Aryes; a niece and a nephew.
