Mary Wallin, 82, a resident of Abington Manor, Clarks Summit, PA., died Tuesday morning, March 1, 2011 at the nursing home. She was the wife of the late Edwin Wallin. Born January 7, 1929 in Coatsville, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Petrovich) Maksura. She was a graduate of Philadelphia public schools and retired as a shop steward for the Downs Carpet Company in Philadelphia. After moving from Philadelphia she has been a resident of Carbondale and Great Bend, PA. She is survived by two sisters: Alice McNulty of Springville, PA. and Olga DeOrio of Clarks Summit, PA.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son: Samuel Pollack; one sister: Elizabeth Milko. As per her request she was cremated and no services were held. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
