Mary Ann (Yankovich) Newak, age 64, of Clifford, PA., died Tuesday morning, October 16, 2012 at home. Born March 2, 1948 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Justine (Demchak) Yankovich. She was a graduate of Lakeland High School and worked as a teller for many years at the First National Bank of Jermyn, PA. She was a loving sister, aunt, great aunt and a friend to all that met her. She will be missed by all and her dog Sparky. She is survived by one sister: Helen Evans and husband Haydn of Scott Township, PA.; two brothers: Stephen Yankovich and wife Carol of Clifford Township, PA. and Paul Yankovich and wife Kay of Benton, PA.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by two nieces: Kimberly Evans and Jamie Lynn Yankovich. The funeral was held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Community Bible Church, Greenfield Township, PA., celebrated by Rev. Jay Best, pastor. Friends called Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA.
