Mary Morrisard-Larkin, 54, of Clifford Township, Pa., died Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Allied Services Hospice Center in Scranton, Pa., after a courageous battle with Alzheimers disease. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David E. Larkin. Born April 2, 1968 in Pittsfield, Ma., she was the daughter of the late James E. Morrisard and Angie Rimmer Morrisard. Mary graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelors in Mathematics and Commerce/Modern Language (French) from the Honors College at Saint Francis College in Loretto, Pa. She belonged to the National Service Sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma. She later received her masters degree in French from Penn State University, where she met David. She was a longtime resident of Worcester, Ma., and moved to Clifford Township, Pa., in 2019. Prior to her illness, Mary was employed as an educational technologist at the College of Holy Cross in Worcester, Ma. She was a former president of the New England Regional Association of Language Lab Directors. Mary enjoyed singing especially in the Worcester Choir and at her parish, Blessed Sacrament Church in Worcester. She was a former president of the parent teacher organization for Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Clemson Tigers fan like her parents. She is survived by her two children, Anne-Marie Claire Larkin of Washington, D.C., and Nathaniel James Larkin of Clifford Township; her brother, James A. Morrisard of Richmond, Va.; and many family and friends. A private funeral Mass was held from St. Pius X Church, celebrated by Rev. Michael Kirwin, pastor, and interment followed at the Willow View Cemetery in Clifford Township. Pallbearers: Nathaniel Larkin, James Morrisard, Daniel Larkin, Dennis Mowry and Jay Wescott.
