Mary Gowen, age 72, of Gibson, PA. died Monday morning, February 14, 2005 at the Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. She was the wife of the late John Gowen, who died in 1959.
Born March 3,1932 in Astoria, NY. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Margaret Kress.
She graduated from Greenwich Village High School in 1950.
She went through life with a very generous and kind heart. If she saw a person in need, she would do all she could to relieve their need. Mary, was a giver, and spent her life getting joy, from giving to others. Her real joy and love in life, was her family. She loved her grandchildren with her whole heart, and was so proud of them! Another love she had in life were her animals. She always exclaimed, A dog never talks back, or yells at you. They love you for who you are!
God called her home on Valentines Day. This was only fitting, because she had a big heart that kept on giving to others.
The best of all is, God is with us. Farewell! Farewell!
John Wesley
