Mary Ellen Dukerich, 78, of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton, PA, after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dukerich in 1994. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Hufeland Riley. She is survived by four children: Deborah Gay, Kevin Smith, Patricia Puza and Tracy Carey; three step children: Charles Dukerich, David Dukerich and Kelly Williams; five sisters: Martha Chartres, Alice Glebus, Eileen Short, Barbara Riley and Martha Mary Szabo; one brother: Richard Riley; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Shannon Burke: two brothers: Michael and Thomas Riley; two sisters: Patricia Welch and Mary Frances Riley. As per Mary Ellen's request, she was cremated and services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Carmine J. & Louis C.
