Mary C. Cafice, 84, formerly of Port Reading, NJ and a resident of the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center, Olyphant, PA, died Monday evening, November 3, 2014 at the nursing center. Born February 3, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Angelina Raitano Cirruzzo. Mary was a dress maker in her earlier years and worked for 20 years at Pathmark Stores, Inc., in Woodbridge, NJ as an accounts payable clerk prior to her retirement. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by one son: Paul Cafice and wife Denise of Scranton, PA; two grandchildren: Joseph Cafice and wife Samantha and Jessica Cafice; two great grandchildren: Logan and Evelyn Cafice. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Joseph Cirruzzo; two sisters: Julia Konazeski and Frances Morollo. As per her request, she was cremated with no services held. Inurnment, Saint Gertrude's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
