Mary J. Buchinski, age 76, of Carbondale, PA. died the evening of Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2004 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, PA., after an illness. She was the wife of the late George R. Buchinski who died May 16, 2004. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary May 7, 2004. Born March 10, 1928 in Eynon, PA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Sauhacite) Kasheta. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Mayfield, PA. Prior to her retirement she worked as a seamstress for Jay Cee Manufacturing Company in Carbondale for many years. She loved to cook, read, solve puzzles and listen to country music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. Box 4261 Pittsfield, MA. 01202 She is survived by three daughters: Georgette Buchinski of White Haven, PA., Janet Theresa Buchinski, both of Carbondale, PA.; three sons: Tom wife Maureen Buchinski of Cranberry Township, PA., Martin wife Marie Buchinski of Carbondale, PA. and Larry wife Lisa Buchinski of Throop, PA.; one sister: Helen Kashetta of Scranton, PA.; three grandsons: Daniel, Ryan Michael Buchinski; one granddaughter: Vicki husband Bill McElroy; one great granddaughter: Kelsie McElroy; Several Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Joshua Eric Buchinski; six brothers: Thomas Kasheta, Joseph, Edward, Ignatz, Anthony and Frank Kashetta The funeral was held Monday, November 29, 2004 at 9:15 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 420 Hudson Street, Mayfield, celebrated by Rev. John Kulavich, pastor and Rev. Joseph Russin. Interment, parish cemetery, East Jermyn, PA. Friends called Sunday, November 28, 2004 from 5-9 PM. Pallbearers: Danny Buchinski, Dennis Buchinski, Dave Papura, Bill Evans, Eric Foster and Dan Zabrowski.
