Mary Bonacci, age 73, formerly of 1 Frank Street, Carbondale, PA. and formerly resided at Lake Lorraine Road, Poyntelle, PA., died Tuesday afternoon, January 4, 2005 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, after an illness. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Bonacci who died February 28, 2002.
Born May 18, 1931 in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Murtha) Dombrosky.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale. She was a 1949 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale. She originally started working for the Acme Super Market in Jermyn then Clarks Summit and also in Carbondale.
She was selected to decorate a faberge egg for the White House. During the Easter season, she delivered the egg personally to the White House during the Clinton presidency. She showed her faberge eggs that she made for many years in nursing homes, churches, societies and various organizations along with giving away eggs to her family and friends. She was an avid crafter and also a member of the Red Hats Dames of Aubergine Society of Jermyn.

She is survived by three sisters: Patricia Murzynski of Florida, Lynda Wargo of Johnson City, NY. and Karen Dombrosky of Carbondale, PA.; one brother: Joseph A. Dombrosky of Carbondale, PA.; Her Caregiver and Niece: Cara Vail of Carbondale, PA.; Several other Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Dombrosky
The funeral was held Monday, January 10, 2005 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell.
Cremation took place at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
Inurnment, St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery, Honesdale, PA.
Friends called Friday, January 7, 2005 from 5-9 pm.
