Martin S. Kavetski, 47, of Gibson, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Born July 11, 1968 in Susquehanna, PA, he is the son of Sharon Brown Kavetski of Gibson and the late Frank G. Kavetski, III. Martin was an avid fisherman, hunter and all around outdoorsman. He had a great sense of humor and many friends. He worked for Kavetski Construction, LLC. where he was an expert carpenter. He is also survived by his brother: Terry Kavetski and wife Melanie; nephew: Bradley and family Mindy York and baby Bennett; niece: Shannon and fiance Nathan Decker; former wife: Dawn; fiance: Bonnie Reed and their girls Bridgette and Blake; aunts and uncles: Larry and Pat Brown and Carol and Roger Robinson; numerous cousins. Friends called Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a service that followed at the South Gibson United Methodist Church, South Gibson, PA, officiated by Pastor Marge McCarty. Inurnment, Harford Cemetery, Harford, PA. Arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were made to the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488, 8212 State Route 106, Kingsley, PA 18826.
