Martin F. "Marty" Carpenter, Jr., 61, of Lenox Township, PA, died Saturday, February 27, 2021 at home. He is survived by his wife, the former Linda Valentine. Born March 27, 1959 in Carbondale, PA, he is the son of Ruth Marsden Curnow of Gibson Township, PA, and the late Martin F. Carpenter, Sr. Marty had been employed as a truck driver and previously drove for Barber Trucking, Clifford, PA, and North Star Stone, Meshoppen, PA. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and when he was younger, snowmobiling. He is also survived by three brothers: Harrison Carpenter of Vandling, PA, Stephen Carpenter of Dundaff, PA and Phillip Carpenter of Lake Ariel, PA; one sister: Marlene Skeen of Stillwater, OK; two nieces; six nephews; two great nieces; two great nephews; several uncles, aunts and cousins. A private graveside service was held at the Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
