Obituary

Mark W. Raub, 59, of Clifford Township, PA, died Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Geisinger CMC, Scranton, PA, after a lengthy illness.

Born April 20, 1967 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Boyd and Rose Ella Jones Raub.

Mark was a graduate of Mountain View High School in Kingsley, and had worked as a quarryman in the local stone industry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, having enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada with family and friends over the years. Mark enjoyed tinkering with cars, taking care of his vegetable garden and had a love of animals, especially his dog, Patty.

Mark will be remembered for his generosity and loyalty to his family and friends and his willingness to help anyone in need at a moment’s notice. Mark had a special relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a devoted attendee of the Arce Lake Independent Baptist Church in Kingsley, where he occasionally served as a lay minister.

He is survived by three brothers: Timothy (Laurel) Raub, Thomas Raub and Micah (Jennifer) Raub; one sister: Ellen Robbins; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend: Jessica Manzer Lauderback and her family.

The funeral will be Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Acre Lake Independent Baptist Church, 705 Lake View Drive, Kingsley, PA, with Rev. Sherman L. Skeens, pastor, officiating. Interment, Tower Cemetery, West Lenox, PA.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
