Marjorie L. Payne, age 79, of the Harford Village Apartments, Harford, PA. and formerly of Kingsley, PA. went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, August 15, 2004 at the Endless Mountains Hospital, Montrose, PA. She was the wife of the late C. George Payne, who died February 13, 1998. Born July 8, 1925 in Gibson, PA. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Rose (Westbrook) Estabrook. She was a member of the West Lenox Baptist Church in West Lenox, PA. She was a wonderful prayer warrior and spiritual support to those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family and her church family were her life. Her home was always open to anyone at anytime. She always was someone that could be counted on to uphold you in prayer before her Heavenly Father. Memorial Contributions can be sent to the: West Lenox Baptist Church She is survived by one daughter: Audrey and husband Bill Ord of Kingsley, PA.; one son: George M. and wife Dawn Payne of Uniondale, PA.; three sisters: Vivian Oakley of Gibson, PA., Lois Estabrook and Judy Estabrook both of Scranton, PA.; two brothers: Richard Estabrook of Great Bend, PA. and William Estabrook of New Milford, PA.; 6 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by one son: Carlton George Payne; one brother: Ralph Estabrook The funeral was held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 10:00 am in the West Lenox Baptist Church, Kingsley, with the Rev. Lee Mead, pastor, officiating. Interment, West Lenox Cemetery, West Lenox. Friends called Tuesday, August 17, 2004 from 6-9 pm at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA. Pallbearers: Bill Ord, Bob Ord, Josh Payne, Nick Payne, John Sprout and Lee Wilbur.
