Marion Lanza, age 87, of Waymart, PA. died Saturday morning, January 3, 2004 at the Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late Frank Lanza, Sr. who died in 1982. Born June 21, 1916 in Browndale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Joanna (Garalick) Badenick. She was a member of St. Marys Church, Waymart. She formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY for a number of years. She is survived by two sons: David Lanza of Brooklyn, NY. and Frank Lanza, Jr. of Waymart, PA.; 3 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren The funeral was held Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 12:00 pm from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in St. Marys Church, Waymart, celebrated by Rev. John Albosta, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Monday, January 5, 2004 from 2-6 pm. Pallbearers: Adam Lanza, Brian Lanza, Sr., Brian Lanza, Jr. and James Walters.
