Marion Louise DeFazio, 73, of Pompano Beach, FL, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank DeFazio on August 16, 2002. Born December 11, 1944 in Carbondale, PA, she is the daughter of Margaret Lilje McClelland Levine of Pompano Beach and the late David McClelland. She was a graduate of Carbondale public schools and had been employed in the banking industry in Florida prior to her retirement. She and her husband resided in North Plainfield, NJ, for many years before moving to Pompano Beach. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and friends. She is survived by her children: David Fenton and wife Wendy of McKeesport, PA, James Fenton and wife Jennifer of Sunrise, FL, Bernard DeFazio and wife Lee of North Plainfield, NJ and Kathy Kuchta and husband John of Warren, NJ; her grandchildren: Donny, Daniel, Amanda, Joey, Gina, Francis, Anthony, Stephanie, Melissa and John Francis; sister: Donna MacKenzie of New Milford, CT; her companion of 11 years: Walter Kretz of Pompano Beach, FL and Niagra Falls, Canada; nieces, Melanie MacKenzie Shapiro and Amanda MacKenzie both of Brookfield, CT; six great nieces and nephews: She was also preceded in death by a son: Anthony DeFazio; a nephew: Matthew MacKenzie. A funeral service was held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, with Pastor Bonnie Resseguie, officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.
