Marion E. Bobby Chernesky, 90, formerly of Baltimore, MD., died Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Wingate at Haverhill Nursing Home, Haverhill, MA., where she resided for the past five years. She was the wife of the late Peter J. Chernesky, a North Scranton, PA. native, who died on May 18, 2007. Born February 17, 1922 in Haverhill, MA., she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lena Kaplan Paone. She had resided in Baltimore for 65 years and was a former member of St. Anthony's Church in Baltimore, MD. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an administrative supervisor at the US Treasury in Washington, DC. During her time at the Treasury, her position allowed her to meet all of the Presidents she served under. She and her beloved Pete enjoyed traveling to Florida and their frequent day trips to Atlantic City, NJ. She is survived by one sister: Dolly Craine of Haverhill, MA; one brother: Joseph Paone of New York; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. A memorial mass was held Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 9:00 AM from Holy Rosary Church, Scranton, PA., celebrated by Rev. Cyril Edwards, pastor. Entombment took place at the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
