Marie T. Reda, 78, of Carbondale, PA, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, Carbondale. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Vera Kersewich Karoll. A life long resident of Brooklyn, New York, she was a paraprofessional for over 20 years in the New York City public school system. She had resided in Carbondale for the last six years. She is survived by four children: Deborah McNulty of Carbondale, PA, who was her primary caregiver, Patricia Agostino, Joann Farrelly and Gregory Reda all of Brooklyn, NY; one brother: John Karoll of Sherburne, NY; eight grandchildren: Amina Cruz, Diana and Michelle Reda, Thomas Agostino, Sean, Jr., Veronica and Dylan Farrelly and Elizabeth Reda; a great grandson: Miguel Angel Cruz. She was also preceded in death by two daughters: Maryanne and Diana Reda. The family received friends on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale.
