Marie Ann Hameza, 80, a resident of RR 1, Forest City, PA. and Surprise, AZ., died Friday, October 13, 2006 at Hospice of Arizona, Surprise. She was the wife of William Hameza who died April 27, 1978. Born February 10, 1926 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Zaccone Gentile. She was a member of St. Pius X Church of Royal, PA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed. Her hobby was cooking and baking and she was known for her many ethnic dishes especially those reflecting her familys Italian and Russian heritage. She was also known for her delicious cookies. She is survived by two sons: Peter Hameza and wife Margaret of Surprise, AZ., and William Hameza and wife Debbie of RR, Forest City, PA.; three sisters: Josie Lawrence, Anna Mae Orsie and Eileen Mecagni all of Boston, MA.; three grandchildren Jessica, Tiffany and Billie Jean Hameza; Several Nieces Nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister: Maddie Johnson; three brothers: Angelo, Dominick and Joseph Gentile. Private funeral services were held Friday, October 20, 2006 at 9:30 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford,PA., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, PA., with Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor, officiating. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. A private visitation for family was held Friday, October 20, 2006 from 8:00 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Mark Mecagni, Daniel Gentile, Robert Tardosky, Jack Orsie, Vincent Oliva and Bryan Wech. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sun Health Hospice, 19702 N.
