Margaret M. (Petruzella) Umholtz, age 96, of Salem, NH., died Saturday, December 27, 2008, at the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH. She was the wife of the late G. Allen Umholtz.Born October 21, 1912 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late James and Theresa (Lovito) Petruzella.She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale, PA. Margaret along with her husband owned Umholtz Manufacturing in Carbondale Lake Ariel, PA. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, playing cards and loved reading. She had a great sense of humor.She is survived byone daughter: Margaret Richards husband Blake of Salem, NH.; one son: Allen Umholtz of Newport, PA.; one brother: John Petruzella of Berwick, PA.; four grandchildren: Darlene Backman, Sherry Kayser husband Adam, Kristin Umholtz and Kaitlyn Richards; three great grandchildren; several nieces nephews.She was preceded in death by one brother: James Petruzella; three sisters: Angela Lapera, Evelyn Pettinato and Jeanette Coggins.The funeral was held Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 10:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, PA.
