Margaret M. Miller, 86, of Carbondale, PA, died Thursday night, December 19, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James E. Miller on October 20, 2014.

Born in Archbald, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Marjorie Dean Siefring. She graduated from Archbald High School and College Misericordia and was a teacher in the Scranton School District for over 30 years. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her golf family from Elkview Country Club. Porch night with loved ones and a dry Martini were always special. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. She will be deeply missed by all especially her dog, Peppa.

She is survived by two children: Susan Miller and spouse, Amy Thomas of Carbondale, PA and James Miller, Jr. and wife, Renee of Archbald, PA; five grandchildren: Joshua, Emma, Grace, Claire and Jamie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Leona Davis and Grace Moffitt; and three brothers: Gerard, Paul and Leo Siefring.

The funeral was held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a blessing service by Rev. Seth Wasnock, pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. Cremation followed.
