Margaret Bobrovcan, 89, of Clifford Township, PA., died Sunday morning, May 13, 2012 at home. Her husband of 69 years, John Bobrovcan, Sr. died on January 9, 2012.
Born August 10, 1922 in Newark, NJ., she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Thoburn) Hanna.
The couple met in Hillside, NJ and moved to Rahway, NJ in 1951 to raise their family. They relocated to Barnegat, NJ in 1989 until moving to Clifford Township in 2009. Margaret worked for the Rahway Board of Education for several years as the attendance officer, retiring in 1985. She was also active in the Girl Scouts, serving as a troop leader for many years.
She is survived by her loving children: Janice Bobrovcan and Todd Bobrovcan and wife Colleen; She was the most adored Granny to her seven grandchildren: Kelcey Parker and husband B.J., Joshua Bobrovcan and wife Jen Hunter, Darcy Ervick, Molly McClung and husband Mark, Dane Ervick and wife Melissa, Kaitlyn and Casey Bobrovcan; four great grandchildren: Monte Parker, Noah McClung, Liam McClung and Xander Ervick; one daughter-in-law: Sandy Hornsby; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son: John Skip Bobrovcan, Jr.; three sisters: Margaret Hageman, June Otto and Evelyn Kissack.
A memorial service for both Marge and John was held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 12:30 PM at their home in New Jersey.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
