Margaret Angotti, 98, formerly of 7th Avenue, Carbondale, PA, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle, PA, where she has resided for the past several years. She was the wife of Peter J. Angotti who died April 9, 1961. Born January 24, 1916 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angelina Guzzi Mazza. She had been employed in the local garment industry for many years and was an active member of the ILGWU. She was a former member of St. Rose of Lima Church and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church both of Carbondale, PA. She is survived by two daughters: Margaret Rose Lesjak and husband Thomas of Parker, CO and Mary Ann Strunk and husband John of Mechanicsburg, PA; one son: Peter James Angotti and wife Sandra of Brownsville, TN; four grandchildren: Angela Yeager, Lauren Strunk, Natalie Lesjak and Nathan Lesjak; one great grandson: Nathan Lesjak, Jr.; one brother: Alfred Fred Mazza of Carbondale, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Marla Rose Angotti; four brothers: Albert, Anthony, Angelo and Michael Mazza; two sisters: Mary Mazza and Gloria Cerra. The funeral was held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Patrick L. Albert, pastor of Ascension of Our Lord Parish, Forest City, PA. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: James Yeager, Thomas Lesjak, Andrew Cerra, James Toolan, Frank Rodi Perry and Paul Strunk Friends called Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Parise Funeral Home.
