Marcella Ransom, 76, of Hop Bottom, PA., died Saturday morning, July 6, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Ransom who died on May 31,1986. Born June 11, 1937, Alford, PA., she was the daughter of the late Ross Alfred and Reva (Pratt) Greenwood. She enjoyed reading books, all types of flowers, shopping at flea markets and the Salvation Army. She is survived by one daughter: Kathy Ransom and companion Greg Carroll of Vandling, PA.; four sons: David Ransom of Tunkhannock, PA., Mark Ransom and wife Karen of Taylor, PA., John Ransom of Forest City, PA. and Scott Ransom and wife Diane of Hop Bottom, PA.; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Helen Zeiser of Berwick, PA. She was preceded in death by one step brother: Kenneth Smith. The funeral was held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 8:00 PM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Rev. Levi Ransom, officiating.
