Marc S. Carr, 49, of Scranton, PA, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at home. Born May 15, 1965 in Portland, ME, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Bernice Grossman Carr. He was a former resident of Florida and had been employed as a roofer for several construction firms and also worked as a fork lift operator in Florida. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid collector and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins, NASCAR and Jimmie Johnson. He is survived by one daughter: Elizabeth Dunning and companion Shawn Miller of Carbondale, PA; one son: Branden Carr of Scranton, PA; one sister: Janet Pearson of Miami, FL; one brother: Jay Carr of Miami, FL; three grandchildren: Lori, Deanna and Trent Reece; a longtime friend: Lori Dunning. He was preceded in death by one brother: Rhett Carr. A memorial service was held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm from Elizabeth Dunning's Residence, 14 Beech Street, Carbondale, PA. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
