Lucille M. Siebecker, age 84, a resident of the Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, Towanda, PA .and formerly of Scranton, PA., died early Sunday morning, January 20, 2008 at the nursing facility. She was the wife of the late Fred S. Siebecker, Sr.
Born April 14, 1923 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Kaub) Weidow. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Montrose, PA. and was a graduate of Central High School, Scranton and a former member of the Harford Historical Society. She was also a member of the Mountain View Senior Citizens Club, Lenoxville Senior Citizens Center where she served as President and the Scranton Womens Club. One of her greatest joys was painting and crafting eggs. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by one daughter: Lucille Pesarchick of Pittston, PA.; four sons: Fred Siebecker, Jr. (Barbara) of Lenox Twp. PA., Charles Siebecker (Nita) of Moscow, PA., Richard Siebecker (Diane) of Sayre, PA. and Allan Siebecker of Scranton, PA.; three brothers: Edward Weidow of Dunmore, PA., Carl Weidow of Scranton, PA. and George Weidow of Tunkhannock, PA.; 15 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 23 great grandchilden; Several nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson: Richard Siebecker; one great grandson: Andrew Siebecker; three brothers: Joseph, Howard and Theodore Weidow. The funeral was held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA., celebrated by Bishop Andy Melton of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Honesdale, PA. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, PA.
Friends called Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Church Missionary Fund of Montrose or to the charity of one's choice.
