Lovilla Short, 80, RR 1, Forest City, PA., died early Monday morning, October 2, 2006 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late Lester Short who died October 6, 1986.
Born October 20, 1925 in Lake Ariel, PA., she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Lovilla (Fuller) Lamberton.
She was of the Protestant faith. She and her husband Lester owned and operated their own dairy farm in Greenfield Township for many years.
She took great pride in her cooking and baking. Her life revolved around her family and she was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by three daughters: Judy Kuhn of Charlotte, NC., Mary Jane Allen and Debbie Meholic both of Greenfield Township, PA.; six sons: Robert of Rio Rancho, NM., Raymond and Carl both of Greenfield Township, PA., Harold of Waymart, PA., James of Browndale, PA. and Terry of Forest City, PA.; one sister: Ruth Cole of Canastota, NY.; two brothers: Raymond Lamberton of Bethlehem, PA. and William Lamberton of Lake Ariel, PA.; 20 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Walter, Abe, Edward and Fred Lamberton; four sisters: Marion Hoffman, Susie Swingle, Ellen Van Sickle and Eva Racht
The funeral was held Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 10:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with the Rev. John McCarty, pastor of the Clifford Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale, PA.
Friends called Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 2-4 7-9 PM.
