Loretta A. Thomas, age 84, of Crystal Lake, PA., died Wednesday morning, September 28, 2005 at home. Born May 15, 1921 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Mark and Mary Torino Thomas. She was a member of St. Pius X Church in Royal, PA. She was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a seamstress and forelady in the garment industry in the dress factories in Carbondale for many years. She was also emplyed by Gentex Corporation and Tri-County Mental Health, both in Carbondale. She was a devotely religious Catholic and was a loving sister, aunt and great aunt who will be dearly missed by her entire family. She is survived by one sister: Florence Thomas of Crystal Lake, PA.; Many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces Great Nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathryn Tolerico and Mary Sanchirico; four brothers: Fred, Lawrence, Anthony and Mark Thomas. The funeral was held Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 8:45 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sitko of St. Lawrence's Church, Great Bend and Rev. Jim Dever of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, NJ. Interment, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Carbondale. Friends called Friday, September 30, 2005 from 6-9 pm. Pallbearers: Stephen Tolerico, Anthony Tolerico, Ben Tolerico, Jeff Tolerico, Chris Tolerico and Jimmy Ridell.
