Loretta J. Qualtiere, age 75, of 54 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, PA. died Wednesday evening, October 6, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale after an illness.
Born December 31, 1928 in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Rock) Qualtiere.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale.
Her greatest joy in life was to help others and her best attribute was being a fine friend to all.
She is survived by five nieces: Mary Conomos, Mary Ann Cardamone and Joanne Mahoski all of Carbondale, PA., Rose Gallinot of Waymart, PA. and Theresa Donate of Brooklyn, NY. four nephews: Thomas Gronock of Florida, John Gronock of Staten Island, NY., Anthony Qualtiere of Florida and George Prokop of Carbondale, PA.
She was preceded in death by one niece: Judy Qualtiere; four sisters: Rose Marie Prokop, Theresa Gronock, Josephine Qualtiere, and Mary Lugris; three brothers: John, William, and Frank Qualtiere
The funeral was held Friday, October 8, 2004 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Thursday, October 7, 2004 from 3-5 7-9 pm. Pallbearers: George Prokop, Jim Cardamone, Mike Mahoski and Patrick McDonald.
