Obituary

Lola Fran Orazi, a resident of Abington Manor for the past six years and formerly of Clarks Summit, PA., died Monday afternoon, October 19, 2009 at the manor. Born in Dothan, AL., she was the last surviving child of the late Rev. Emory and Lessie (Graham) Lasseter.She was a graduate of Graceville High School in Florida and was an alumnus of Florida State University. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a domestic relations officer for Lackawanna County. She also was the proprietor of a gift and wedding shop. She had the pleasure of planning many area weddings and made everything except the wedding gowns. She was of the Baptist faith.Many will fondly remember her as your typical sweet southern lady. Wherever she went she made a lasting impression, especially on her family and many friends. She is survived by two daughters: Ann Barbara and husband Joseph, Sr. of Clarks Summit, PA. and Margaret McIntosh of Scranton, PA.; four grandchildren: Sherry Dean, Joseph Barbara, Jr., Terry Dean and James Orazi; five great grandchildren: Victoria Gullone, James Barbara, III., Emily, Hannah and Dante Orazi; one great great granddaughter: Marley Barbara.She was preceded in death by one son: Dante Orazi, III.; one great grandson: Joshua Barbara; twelve brothers and sisters.The funeral was held Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 8:00 PM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. John Hardman-Zimmerman, chaplain of Southern Care Hospice, officiating. Cremation followed. Friends called Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 6-8 PM.
