Linda May Monks, 69, of Thompson, PA, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, after a battle with cancer. Born August 22, 1951 in Bloomingdale, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Shirley Quick Monks. She spent her days sewing, cooking and spoiling her dog, Buster. She was everything to everyone and will be missed dearly. She is survived by her longtime companion: Turk Rivenburg; three children: Craig Monks and wife, Dee, Tina Monks and boyfriend, Jim Bishop and Oscar Monks and girlfriend, Lucinda Wallace; one brother: Ed Monks; 14 grandchildren: Kristy Welch, C.J. Monks, Brook Morrison, Dylan Monks, Alyssa Monks, Jason Smith, Katalyna Ahlbrandt, Olivia Monks, Austin Wallace, Lana Eggler, Lily Eggler, Kody Monks, Ava Monks and Hailey Monks; 8 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life: Brielle Welch, Maliya Welch, Camden Welch, Paislee Welch, Gianna Welch, Rylee Morrison, Ryder Morrison and Charlotte Monks.
