Linda L. Lentz, age 62, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA., died Tuesday evening, April 20, 2010 at the Osprey Ridge Health Care Center, Carbondale. Born May 25, 1947 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Gordon D. and Charlotte (Leonard) Lentz. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She participated in many activities and organizations at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was an avid collector of knick knacks. The family would like to thank the staff at the Osprey Ridge Health Care Center and Hospice. She is survived by two sisters: Shirley Gatto and husband Joseph of Carbondale, PA. and Joan Testa of Neptune, NJ. several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Herbert and David Lentz; one sister: Carol Nepa. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 9:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church Street, Carbondale. Those attending the funeral were asked to go directly to the church. Entombment followed at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. There was no visitation. Arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale.
