Linda A. Howells, 49, of Scranton, PA., died Friday afternoon, February 15, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mary Margaret (Jones) Howells. She was a loving and caring aunt who cherished her time spent with her nieces and nephews and considered each of them as her own children. She is survived by five sisters: Joyce Howells of Halifax, MA., Mary Pat Simpson of Scranton, PA., JoAnne Jones of Tunkhannock, PA., Barbara Chrzan of Peckville, PA. and Christine Stegura of West Pittston, PA.; two brothers: William Howells and James Martin Howells both of Scranton, PA.; several nieces and nephews. As per her request, she was cremated and no services were held. Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
