Linda Louise Hachan Cunningham, 66, of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was the wife of 19 years to Richard M. Cunningham, who died on January 16, 2018. Born May 23, 1952 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Louise Collura Hachan. Linda was a 1970 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and earned a degree in business administration from Lackawanna Junior College, Scranton. She then earned a business education degree from Bethel College, McKenzie, TN, and an elementary masters degree from Bloomsburg University. She was a teacher for 33 years, before her retirement in 2011, at Mt. Carmel/Sacred Heart Elementary School, Carbondale. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale, and enjoyed traveling, reading and crafts. She is survived by two step daughters: Christen Jeter and husband, Tony of Maryland and Jan Reilly and husband, Sean of San Franciso, CA; four step grandchildren: Channing and Asia Jeter and Emily and Katie Reilly; two brothers: David Hachan and wife, Robyn and Richard Hachan and wife, Ann, all of Carbondale, PA; nieces and nephews: Alyssa Hachan-Berry and husband, Len; Mariah and fiance, Richard Runco, Dana Hachan, Richard Hachan, II. and Christopher Hachan; great niece and great nephew: Maggie and Blake Berry; and one aunt: Lucille Hachan of Carbondale, PA. The funeral was held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Seth Wasnak, assistant pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
