Lillian M. Aderhold, age 88, formerly of Philadelphia and South Gibson, PA., died Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility, Susquehanna, PA. She was the wife of the late William B. Aderhold who died October 15, 1987. Born October 28, 1921 in Grier City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Daisey (Schlier) Becker. She was a member of the South New Milford Baptist Church and very active in many church organizations. She was a graduate of Simons Gratz High School in Philadelphia and worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years at Chase Heckman Insurance Company in Erdenheim, PA. She was the past treasurer for St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Erdenheim and enjoyed reading and crocheting and will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by two daughters: Cathy and husband Walter Nitterauer, Jr. of South Gibson, PA. and Cherie and husband James Shearouse of East Stroudsburg, PA.; one sister: Elva Hausser of Trenton, NJ.; grandchildren: Walter Nitterauer, III. of South Gibson, PA. and Rachael and Peter Shearouse of East Stroudsburg, PA.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Elizabeth Liz Nitterauer. A memorial service was held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the South New Milford Baptist Church, New Milford, PA., with Rev. Larry Thomas, pastor, officiating. Inurnment, South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA. Arrangements were entursted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
