Leona Florian Grebausky, 92, of Carbondale, PA, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Alex Grebausky who died in 1979. Born in Mayfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Pado Florian. Leona was a lifelong resident of Carbondale, attended its public schools and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed for many years at Grossinger's and The Pines resorts in the Catskill Mountains. Leona was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She cherished the time spent entertaining and playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Mary Ann Hrinko of Dickson City, PA and Patricia Wagner and husband Bob of Carbondale, PA; eight grandchildren: William, III., Melissa and Christopher Hrinko, Amber Jo Kopoch and fiancee Robert Taylor, Jo Anne Kopoch-James and husband Mathaniel, Robert, Jonathan and Patrick Wagner; a great grandson: Raif James; a sister: Helen Brown of Dunmore, PA; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Joseph Kopoch; two grandsons: Michael Hrinko and Peter Wagner; three brothers: Michael, John and George Florian, a sister: Elsie Washeleski; a son-in-law: William Hrinko, Jr. The funeral was held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Marek Wasilewski, assistant pastor. Cremation followed. Pallbearers: Patrick Wagner, Jonathan Wagner, Melissa Hrinko, David Franks, James Worth and James Florian.
