Leon Rohalevich, 79, of Carbondale, PA., died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA.
Born July 30, 1932 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Phillip and Theodisa (Hamar) Rohalevich.
He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and prior to his disability; he had been employed as a laborer in the local manufacturing industry.
He is survived by two sisters: Helen Rohalevich of Carbondale, PA. and Olga Ditchko of Clark, NJ.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Anna Burry, Mary Edwards, Alice and Catherine Rohalevich.
A private funeral was held Friday, June 1, 2012 from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Requiem Service by the Very Reverend Mitred Archpriest John Sorochka, pastor of St. John's Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Mayfield, PA. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
