Lee Roy Long, 75, of Vandling, PA, died Monday, January 30, 2023 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, the former Ellen A. Leonard on February 24, 2021.

Born July 3, 1947 in Marion, VA, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Esther Irene Hayes Long.

Lee was a retired machinist having worked at Doyle and Roth Manufacturing in Simpson, PA, and Bardane Manufacturing, Jermyn, PA. He had a vast collection of everything and anything and was always coming home with something new to add to it. Lee loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was always talking about one final trip out west.

He is survived by a step-daughter: Mary Coslet-Trusky and husband, Eric of Browndale, PA; a grandson: Brian Coslet and girlfriend, Courtney Halstead of Clifford Township, PA; one sister: Joyce Jones and husband, Bill of Lenoxville, PA; two brothers: Sam Long of Union Dale, PA and Allen Long and wife, Emily of Waymart, PA; nieces: Jennifer and Amy; and his faithful companion: Edward Bichon.

A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA.
