Laura P. Penambere, 38, of Forest City, PA, died Friday, September 25, 2020 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, after a lengthy illness. Born July 16, 1982 in Boonton, NJ, she was the daughter of Bonnie Walsh Bay and the step-daughter of Glenn Bay, both of Union Dale, PA. Laura had worked as a certified nurse's aide and was a well-known bar tender for several area bars and restaurants. She is survived by two children: Madison and Jacob Woodbridge; a sister: Bonnie Byrnes and husband, Michael; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral was held Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. from the Trinity Episcopal Church, 58 River Street, Carbondale, PA, officiated by the Rev. William McGinty, pastor. Calling hours were held from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
