Karen A. White, age 61, of Carbondale, PA., died Friday afternoon, July 13, 2012 at Geisinger Community Medical Center Emergency Room, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Joseph P. White, Sr. Born February 12, 1951 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Grazaul) Diddick. She worked at Gentex Corporation for over ten years and attended the Pentecostal Church in the Green Ridge section of Scranton. She was an avid bible reader, loved music and spending time with her family and animals. She is survived by three daughters: Leah Voight and husband Michael of Carbondale, PA., Karen Hastings of Montrose, PA. and Cheryl Reed of Archbald, PA.; two sons: Joseph White, Jr. of Carbondale, PA. and Joseph Trygar of Fort Worth, TX.; one brother: Joseph Diddick of Nicholson, PA.; two sisters: Sharon Mead of Clarks Summit, PA. and Joann Burns of Uniondale, PA.; eight grandchildren: Jayda Voight, Jessica, Michelle, Theresa and Mariah Hastings, Kimberly Moyer, Justin Hastings and Timothy Moyer; three great grandchildren: Gerard, Kayley and Gage Hastings; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Clifford United Methodist Church, Clifford, PA.. with Pastor Peg Knapich, Rector of the Clifford and Lenoxville United Methodist Churches, officiating. Friends called Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
