Karen E. King, 67, of Nicholson, PA, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA.

Born May 1, 1955 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Roberta Jean Davis Barr.

Karen attended Lakeland High School and worked for over 20 years at Gress Poultry, Inc., Scranton, PA. She also worked at Cintas, Olyphant, PA, and Lackawanna Health prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed country music concerts, going to the beach and her time spent with her family. Karen was also a huge President Trump supporter.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald E. King of Wyoming, PA; two children: Candy Courliss and husband, Jon of Tunkhannock, PA, and Sean Boshman of Jessup, PA; nine grandchildren: David, Adam and Delana Chesar, Robyn and Mackenzie Baker, Alyssa, Kyle, Hailey and Riley Boshman; three great grandchildren; six siblings: Trisha Toms, Mitzi Finkler, and Tammy Brent all of Scranton, PA, Betty Hricenak of Greenfield Township, PA, Mickey Archibald and Artie Toms, both of Scranton, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by four siblings: Christina Pelukonis, Donald and Billy Toms, and Billie Janet Archibald; and a nephew: Jason Thomas.

The funeral was held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Peckville Assembly of God Church, 3364 Scranton Carbondale Highway, Blakely, PA, with Rev. Terry Drost, pastor, officiating.

A viewing was held from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
