Justine T. Carite, age 73, of Carbondale, PA., died Thursday morning, January 10, 2008 at the VNA Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Joseph J. Carite. They were married 52 years. Born July 6, 1934 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Bilotta) Graziano. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the local garment industry. She was a kind, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by four children: Michele and husband Michael Churney of Jessup, PA., Mary Ann and husband Brian Rogan of Whites Crossing, PA., Joseph, Jr. and wife Debbie Carite of Olyphant, PA. and Brian Carite of Mayfield, PA.; six grandchildren: Danielle Zultewicz, Jonathan Rogan, Kyle Churney, Tiffany Carite, Heather Rogan and Angeline Cerra; one great granddaughter: Antonella Zultewicz; two brothers: Sam Graziano and Serafine Graziano, both of Carbondale, PA.; two sisters: Agnes Touch of Archbald, PA. and Mary Ann McLaughlin of Carbondale, PA; several nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson: Ryan Carite; one brother: Joseph Graziano. The funeral was held Monday, January 14, 2008 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 4-8 PM. Pallbearers: Kyle Churney, Michael Churney, John McLaughlin, Brian Rogan, Jonathan Rogan and Andrew Zultewicz.
