Judith "Judy" Ann (Rhodes) Stankus, 73, of Clifford Township, PA, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, 20 August 2015 after a recent battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Frank D. Stankus, and four children: Christine (Vern) Miles of Owego, NY, Julie (Jamie) Arnold of Endicott, NY, Jennifer Payne of Windsor, NY, and Steven Stankus of Albrightsville, PA. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren: Tessa and Alissa Giammarino, Kevin Miles, Emily and Paige Arnold and Shaylee and Riley Payne. She is also survived by her mother-in-law: Ethel Stankus, her brother: John Rhodes, and sisters-in-law: Peggy and Jim MacDonald, Barbara Lavin, Shirley and Robert Kralovic and Marie and Mark Lynch as well as many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her parents: Robert and Loretta Rhodes, father-in-law: Frank Stankus. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family received friends on Monday, 24 August 2015, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Elkdale Baptist Church, West Clifford, PA, a memorial service immediately followed. In lieu of flowers, donations were sent to Elkdale Baptist Church, 45 State Road 2014, Clifford Township, PA, 18470, or the American Cancer Society. Burial was held at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
